Yesterday marked Jeremiah’s 2nd Birthday.

He is a dear little kid, who talks for the entire family, even at 2 his language is better than Eliza’s was and that’s saying something! He had been asking for a week if it was his Birthday, he had requested presents and balloons and cake. Finally he understood Friday was his Birthday. He kept asking if it was Friday yet and where was the cake!

We went shopping for his cake on the Thursday. As we didn’t have a party for him it was just us Eliza and Me and him, there were about ten cakes to choose from including a dinosaur cake and he picked a Toy Story cake because at Disney he had met Buzz Lightyear.

Jerry and Buzz!

We bought lots of party food and we had our own mini party. I really felt for him, he has no friends. At the same age Eliza had a little network of buddies, since moving to Suburbia I haven’t been able to attend as many classes as central London and the fact I have two kids one older limits me in what classes I can do, as I refuse to get childcare while I am a SAHM. Being a SAHM means a lot to me and one of those is not getting childcare or using a nursery. And being as hands on as possible.

Come September when Eliza starts school I hope to enrol him into more classes, like Tumble Tots I know he will LOVE that. And football he will love that too, and hopefully by the time he turns three he will have some buddies to come and enjoy his party!

Still he had a fabulous time arriving down stairs to lots of balloons on the floor I had filled his 1st request! And then we had cake later in the morning which he had ZERO interest in except blowing out the “fire” a million times.

And when Eliza said what did you get for your Birthday he said ” I got Mickey Mouse at Disneyland” it was nice to know he really understood that going there was part of his Birthday celebration.

Happy Birthday Jerry we love you!

Is it really a year since I said forget my homebirth! I think it is!

The time has been amazing, he is a healthy, happy boy he is very loving and loves to give as many cuddles as he gets. He loves to dish out the open mouthed kisses and blow raspberries on your tummy.

He walks very well now and occasionally tries to run that’s not going so well!

I think Eliza was about 15 months before she got her first bruise, with Jeremiah I think he was about 8 months.

My god that boy is everywhere, he is up and over the top of the sofa he climbs anything and everything, he hits and throws and shouts, having a girly girl and now a real boy the whole make up is so different.

He has about 15 words I would hazard a guess mainly CAR, Here, baa, row, pom (apple) peekaboo, no and some others :-/ with Eliza I wrote every times she farted down in her baby memory book, poor deprived 2nd child doesn’t have this!

He likes to be sung to and likes to to drawing given the chance.

He is still breastfed GOD if you’re reading hurry up with the self weaning or I will use the cabbage.

He is a champion eater and eats like crazy lucky we not living on rations. Although if we were that might be a good thing as then I’d give him mine and I’d lose weight!

He has 3 teeth and not much sign of any others coming soon. AH bless he is just so much fun and every one who knows him is infected by that lovely smile and personality he is a delight and I am delighted he’s in our lives!

Love you Baby J

A post in it’s own right!

Unal bought me a gift which deserves it’s own post. I have barely slept this week & twice I dreamed about rings, when normally I have no dreams.

After designing my own ring at Boucheron & it coming to a cool £27,000 I had to re think where I could actually get my ring from lol.

I decided on Tiffany’s so off we toddled down Bond St. I knew exactly kinda, which one I wanted. I have spent the last two weeks finding them. I narrowed it down to 3 rings. But knew my fave.

I arrived with the names written down & two whinging kids always a good look when buying something in a world famous shop lol

I had my ring size determined & off she went to get the three I had chosen. I tried the first one on & took it off huge no.

2nd one sorry where is the diamond so small the band looked dented not like it had a diamond in it.

& then finally she brought out my ring. Unal who was off showing Eliza Pearl tiaras returned & said wow nice “you getting it?”

I smiled & said yes please lol.

So here it is
I am beyond thrilled, it’s not an engagement ring it’s just a gift as you can see I wear it on my right hand. Like I said to the lady at Tiffany’s “I’m waiting for the right guy – & He is waiting for the right woman” As we left she said ” I hope you find Mr Right” to funny.

Thank you Unal I love it & now I love you just that little bit more HA HA X

On Monday I turned 32…. 32 years old I feel so weird saying “I am 32” like I am lying or something lol I was so sure I’d be more grown up and mature by 32 or at least have some sort of life wisdom that people of 32 years seem to often have. Oh well I am a late bloomer maybe when I reach 42 I’ll be wiser – But I am not holding out much hope!

Anyway I am here to share some delightful gifts I received.

My Father rang me on my Birthday and asked what I got for my Birthday. I hadn’t received anything at this point.
He sent me this bouquet of flowers which arrived late (Wednesday)due to the snow I think Aren’t they lovely – Thank you Daddy.

On Monday afternoon I spied a tall Orchid in our Foyer and saw my name on it. Excitedly I carried it upstairs and took all the tissue paper off carefully.

I love it Orchids are one of my favourite flowers so I am thrilled. A big thank you to the friend who sent this she knows who she is and how much she means to me x

On Thursday I was treated to a makeover – It was so nice to get so much done all at once. I had my hair cut and coloured – I had my nails done – And my makeup as anyone knows I am obsessed with make up. I had eyes as big as a child’s in a candy store when he opened his suitcase of make up.
This is me after 3 hours of major work lol
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this gift I am so glad we are friends and the fact we are all here for each other every day I hope our friendships continue for many many years.
Maybe next year I can get some liposuction HA HA

I was then utterly spoilt at dinner. And I apoligise for not opening gifts at the table. I am highly shy and I felt so shy to open them at the table at dinner lol (yes I am shy truly I am)
Look at these would you like to eat one?

I haven’t yet and despite being a little but drunk when opening them I am so glad I smelled them before chomping into them, as they are for the bath! Thank you so much my friend for these – now to actually use them!! You are are fantastic gift giver!

I also got some beautiful smelling bath & shower gel and this lovely candle from a girlfriend she has done something dangerous she has shown me a new pampering shop HUGE MISTAKE lol I shall now be in there trying everything! I love candles and especially heavily scented ones so this has been burning most of the day!So thank you for the introduction and for making my home smell wonderful!

And last but most certainly not least are these two little people
The bigger one is for “soul” and the other “positivity” I was thrilled as you can imagine to get these adorable Japanese dolls. I will treasure them and I want you to know girls that I am very touched by them and the words that came with them.

I am so blessed to have each and everyone one of you in my life. I feel so loved and cared for each and every time we meet up. I love how our children play with each other and have one another. Thank you so much for giving me one of the best Birthday’s in my 32 years

x

Reflection 2008

This could be a long post you might want to get a drink 🙂

Jan – on the 18th Of Jan we found out we were expecting a baby boy, I almost burst out squealing with joy, Eliza looked at the screen and said “monkey” and then we rang Daddy and told him it was a boy monkey.

Feb – My 31st Birthday was the on the 2nd and a interesting one at that. A guy verbally abused me in a book store I ignored him he kept following me, then he made a smart arse comment saying I was nuts probably due to my condition (pregnant) I lunged for him and acted like a maniac and Unal dragged me away and told me to calm down, We called the cops but he was long gone, funnily enough I saw the guy a few weeks back and almost crapped my pants.

9th saw us in the hospital and Eliza with some god awful rash on her legs which spread to her entire body we were told to treat her as if it were scabies. But they were unsure it was horrible to touch and to look at but caused her no discomfort. We discovered the powers of Neem oil.

17th saw Unal buying me my new camera a Olympus E3 which is great and gets used daily.

For those who are easily irked don’t read on lol. I had major breast feeding aversion with Eliza and hated breastfeeding her from here on wards and even now am not to crash hot on it.

March– My Dad and his wife came over from Spain to visit us, and we had a great time with them Eliza enjoys their company very much!

I did a huge commercial shoot for a a lady called Susanna Wallis who was writing her book which is out now with her Felt designs in it. It was fun and a totally new experience being on location with lots of kids!

I had a huge bleed and was 30 weeks pregnant I told myself to cut down on being superwoman and rest and it stopped.

we assembled the cradle for the baby and washed all the blankets and clothes nothing like being prepared!

April – Eliza turned 2 years old and I could hardly believe she was 2, it seemed like only a few weeks before I was in shock at finding out I was close to 7 weeks pregnant with her.

She also started to sleep really badly and was spending most nights up and awake between 2-4am watching movies or playing with me or Unal laying on the sofa.

It was also the 1 year anniversary of my half brother Georges death, he died from Septicemia he was 14 years old. He had recently had a heart op one of many sadly. I never met him when he was up and about the first time I ever met him, he was wired up to 28 intubaters trying to keep him alive. I spoke to him on the phone a few times when I lived in Australia and that is something I am thankful for. I am sure he is creating havoc in heaven as I type!

May – 18th My waters leaked and contractions started and then NOTHING yes nada no baby. a week later Jeremiah was quiet and I was cramping V badly and the midwife came and said they were braxton hicks. Many people were worried about fluid levels. But my midwifes were happy and so was I so we left it. I was thinking how right my dates were (21st) and wrong the hospitals were (27th) little did I know he would stay in for another 3.5 weeks!

27th I was in “hard labour” Unal fills up the pool and we take a walk. I am having to breath through every single contraction and I am only comfy when on my knees and have my hands raised and my head between my arms and breathing and moaning.

NO BABY COMES

June – 6th I was very unhappy and could barely move and was wanting Jeremiah out of my body more than ever

10th I went to the hospital with Jen and Eliza and they popped on the trace I was contracting away like a fool, Jen’s eyes nearly fell out of her head and she looked like she might faint when she said “OMG NATALIYA YOU ARE CONTRACTING LIKE SERIOUSLY THESE ARE HUGE OFF THE SCALE CONTRACTIONS” I said I know it’s been going on for weeks. The nurse came back and said you are great candiate for VBAC we could break your waters. I said no thanks I’d like a c/section no way would I want a failed VBAC and another EMCS so book me in for an elective.

11th I was in the hospital at 8am with Unal, Eliza and Jen by my side my sister Lara came at 11 and Jen and her took acre of Eliza we went out for morning tea well they did I watched them as I couldn’t eat or drink! At 16.47 they pulled my son from me in an amazing maternal assisted c/section I was back in my private room 40 mins later no time in recovery laughing and passing my new offspring around. It was a magical, magical moment.

13th I came home and relaxed and my beautiful friends and neighbours looked after us in more ways than we ever expected.

July – was a blur!!!!

August – I ventured out and took some pictures of the animals at London Zoo and sent them to them, they were liked and taken into their photo bank to be used in the future.

I did lots of other things with Eliza but nothing major!

September 22nd I got horrific food poisoning and I lost close to 4 kilos over night I highly recommend it when trying to lose weight. Funny now – not then I haven’t eaten indian take away since!

We ventured to Brighton and spent the day on the beach and the pier and sat in lovely sun!!

October – Another month were we were busy but nothing major!

November – I didn’t go to Paris with my mummy friends I went to toys r Us instead I mean Paris – TRU really no different. right? Another time another year!

December A very recent occasion my Brother turned 40 on Christmas Day I find it weird that he is 40 it’s like he is always younger!

And that sums up some of the highlights, in between all that we have been going to so many classes with Eliza and Jeremiah and next year will be similar, except I’ll be doing classes too!

Happy new year to you all!
